For me, the optics need to match the ballistics. I have a lot of rifles in a lot of calibers. To each his own–but I have that scope on a .223 varmint gun and would use if for long range shooting. WebIf you change what power your scope is on it will hit higher. Depending on bullet selection, you should be low at 50 for a 100 yard zero. If you zeroed at 50 it's likely still going up at 100 yards. 6 to 8 inches seems a little high though. Zero at 100 then check your 50 again.
